Heart in action - Together for a better world
Overview
It is a great honor for me to have already made and continue to make a contribution to numerous social projects. Through my commitment, I try to give back some of the positive moments I have experienced and thus help people who are in urgent need of help.
On this page you will find information about the various projects I have been involved in and my motivation for this support.
My social career
My father taught me at an early age how important it is to be socially involved. Over time, my father involved me more and more in his numerous projects and I noticed how I blossomed in the process and how nice it was for me to make my contribution to society.
01
First contact
In addition to his work as a special school principal, my father was also particularly well known in my home town for his presentations at various events and for his social projects. He regularly organized events for the benefit of social projects, where he himself acted as presenter, and he needed my help with the technology. Over time, I grew more and more into my role and so I also took over the marketing for the various projects. I regularly organized various projects together with him and was able to adopt many of his skills and ways of thinking from my great role model, my father. We were always supported by my mother, who was the calming influence for us and had our backs. Especially after my father was diagnosed with cancer, I really realized how important it is to give hope and support to people in need and their families in difficult life situations.

Holocaust Memorial Service
During a very emotional visit to the memorial in Yad Vashem in Israel, I learned for the first time about the possibility of completing a memorial service instead of regular military or civilian service. After a very selective selection process, I was one of a total of 30 people to be given the opportunity to do my memorial service abroad. After a very touching farewell from the President of the Republic of Austria, I supported Jewish institutions in London and Milan for a year. The intensive exchange with the survivors of the Holocaust was particularly formative for me. I swore to myself that I would do everything in my power to prevent something as horrific as the genocide of the Jews from happening again. Out of attachment to the association, I acted as area coordinator for Western Europe for another year after my memorial service. I was responsible for more than 50 young people and was in regular contact with Austrian representatives in order to make their assignment as positive as possible.

New shores
After my return to Austria, I had a large network of talented people I could rely on and who supported me. Together with them, and in collaboration with my father, I was able to implement his and my projects both nationally and internationally. For example, I worked on the production of a documentary film about inclusion, supported the construction of a hospital in South Sudan and also worked with him on art projects that addressed various social issues. I quickly realized that I could be of help in the implementation of many projects due to my versatile talents and my already extensive experience. During this time, however, I mostly worked in the background and left the front row to my father. He fought courageously against his cancer because he wanted to help as many people as possible before he died. As his strength waned, he became more and more dependent on my help. It gives me great satisfaction and a good feeling that my support enabled him to help other people to realize his projects right up to the end and to forget his illness, at least temporarily.

Taking responsibility
After my father's death, I briefly fell into a deep hole. However, I soon realized that it was now my job to keep the memory of my father and his projects, which were so important to him, alive. At the beginning, I was still unsure whether I would be up to the task. After a few months, however, I realized that I really enjoyed being in the front row and taking on even more responsibility for other people. It was also at this time that the war in Ukraine began, forcing many of my girlfriend's family members to flee their home country. I saw and still see it as my responsibility to make life a little easier for them in their new environment and to give numerous other displaced people from Ukraine a little hope and joy during this difficult time. I also appreciate being the chairman of a local social association and am delighted to give some support to families with a family member who is ill. I also work in other capacities in order to achieve my goal of providing people with the best possible assistance.
Vision & Beliefs
I am guided by a set of principles and beliefs that guide my decisions and actions.
- Every person is equally valuable and a valuable member of society
- Everyone has already overcome difficult situations and deserves to be treated with respect
- Acting in solidarity enables us as a community to achieve great goals
- It is also important to consider the sustainability of the projects so that long-term positive change can be achieved
My activity in numbers
Over the years, despite my youth, I have already been able to make a relatively large social contribution to society. My big goal for the next few years is to continue to develop myself and to help many more people through my efforts.
